Tour Plan

Day 01 Arrival At Paro – Transfer To Thimphu

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted at the airport by a representative who will serve as your tour guide and companion for the entire duration of your visit to Bhutan.

Drive to your hotel in Thimphu, and en route, visit the following:

Kuensel Phodrang, also known as Buddha Point, is home to the world's largest sitting Buddha statue, standing at 167 feet tall. This magnificent statue is perched on a hilltop, offering a panoramic view of Thimphu. Located about 15 minutes from the city center, it is accessible by road. The name Kuensel means "everything is clear," and from this vantage point, you can enjoy stunning views of the Thimphu Valley on both sides. Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day 02 Thimphu

Memorial Chorten: Constructed in 1974 to honor the 3rd King of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck (1928–1972), this monument is a significant landmark in the city, distinguished by its golden spires and bells.

Takin Reserve: A wildlife reserve dedicated to the Takin, the national animal of Bhutan.

BBS Tower: Offers a stunning vantage point view of the Thimphu Valley.

Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan: This National Centre provides professional training in weaving design and the production of Bhutanese textiles. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 03 Thimphu– Paro

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Dochula Pass, situated at an elevation of 3,100 meters. This renowned mountain pass, located about 30 kilometers from Thimphu on the road to Punakha, offers breathtaking views of the eastern Himalayan Ranges, especially on clear, sunny days.

Upon arrival in Paro, check-in at your hotel and proceed to visit Ta Dzong, which translates to 'watch tower' in English. Originally serving as a watchtower for the nearby Paro Rinpung Dzong, Ta Dzong has been transformed into the National Museum, housing a fascinating collection of Bhutanese artifacts and art.

Day 04 Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike

After an early breakfast, embark on a journey to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as Tiger’s Nest, the most sacred and renowned site in Bhutan. According to legend, Guru Padmasambhava arrived here on a flying tigress and meditated in a cave for three months. The hike to the monastery takes approximately two hours along well-maintained pathways constructed during restoration efforts.

About an hour into the ascent, there's a tea point offering splendid views of the monastery, where lunch is also served. Continuing from there, it's another 45 minutes to reach the second viewpoint, which offers the highest vantage point of the hike.

Return to Paro for an overnight stay.

Day 05 Departure

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to the airport to catch your flight for your onward destination.
